The Offer
Every three months we offer free membership to two makers under 25 years old, providing the tools and space to develop a business idea. Membership includes desk space, access to all workshops, fabrication facilities and events as well as joining a growing community of over 250 makers and 90 businesses.
After the first three months, we offer a reduced rate membership for the rest of the year. We aim for this rate to increase incrementally every quarter to reach the normal hot desk rate.
What does membership mean?
Across both sites, we have over 300 members who make up over 100 businesses. Membership means being part of this community with use of a shared work space and access to traditional and digital workshops for wood, metal, plastic and textiles work.
We also hold regular lunches and breakfasts and there are extensive opportunities to learn more through lunchtime talks covering anything from intellectual property to grant funding to working with/as freelancers.
How does selection work?
Every quarter, the Makerversity team review all applications and select the next two U25’s. We base our selection on the quality of the idea pitched and the applicant’s need for the space.
For this programme, we specifically look for people who are starting or have recently started creative businesses and would benefit from both the facilities we offer and being part of our community.
