Makerversity is Hiring a Community Manager

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and people-focused Community Manager to lead the delivery and ongoing development of the Makerversity membership offer. This role plays a key part in growing our community, with a strong emphasis on engaging with potential new members. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles and a keen interest in developing sales skills, as they will be responsible for introducing Makerversity to new audiences and presenting membership opportunities. You’ll work closely with our entire team and member base, reporting directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities:

➔ Being the first point of contact for Makerversity members
➔ Meeting, liaising, touring potential members and guests
➔ Maintaining high desk occupancy through sales targets and managing churn rate
➔ Set up new members: contracts, back end systems, invoicing and member inductions – including our residency programmes
➔ Developing and improving the overall membership offer
➔ Maintaining and improving current members experience: organising weekly breakfasts, lunchtime talks, clinics, community events and bi-yearly parties
➔ Maintaining and improving the working environment and spaces; liaising with cleaners, building/facilities manager, looking after the plants, stocking the kitchen supplies.
➔ Ownership and development of the online members portal including perks
➔ Leading large tours with Universities and partners
➔ Admin support to the General Manager.
➔ Maintaining the public email account.
➔ Collating and sending the weekly members newsletter.
➔ Showcasing members through events, socials including occasional blog posts on the Makerversity website
➔ Assisting in the organisation and delivery of private & public bookings
