Looking Back at 2024: A Year of Impact and Growth at Makerversity

2024 has been a year of big steps forward for Makerversity. We've broken down barriers, championed regenerative practices, and strengthened our role in supporting making within the UK and London economy. From expanding opportunities for underrepresented young people to launching new spaces like Land Lab and achieving B-Corp Certification, we’ve continued to push for positive change.

At the core of it all is our community. Our members - over 300 entrepreneurs, creators and innovators -have been driving groundbreaking work in design, engineering, and digital practice. This year, we’ve seen them share skills in our public events, push boundaries in their industries, and even take home the fastest time at the Red Bull Soapbox Race!

We’ve also been focused on making Makerversity as accessible and supportive as possible. Through free residencies, workshop weeks for young people and business support sessions. We’ve provided the space, tools and guidance needed to help creative talent thrive.

As we head into 2025, we’re doubling down on our commitment to growing this incredible community. Our focus? More Making, More Members. That means more opportunities, more access and more ways to collaborate, learn and innovate together.
