Dharma Taylor

Dharma Taylor is a visual artist and designer with a background specializing in textiles. Dharma’s work is pre-occupied with the notion of separate realities and parallel lands, creating tapestries preserving social history through the medium of textiles, exploring sources ranging from technology, poetry, ancient civilizations and the dynamic differences in cultures.

Since graduating from the London College of Fashion she has worked on various artistic fashion projects. They’ve been shown by a variety of national and international organisations and galleries including the Benaki Museum in Athens, the V&A and Tate Britain. The concept driven collections are inspired by literary figures such as Franz Kafka and ideas of performance and hyper-reality.

Mo Langmuir

Mo is multi-disciplinary environmentalist, with a background in environmental biology. Her current project, Mapping Greenness, uses balloon mapping to aerially photograph greenspace in the public realm. The aerial photos are stitched together into unique maps which can be measured for ‘greenness’, a proxy for photosynthetic activity which has been correlated to improved mental health and wellbeing. As well as the research element, the balloon photos are used to artistically re-imagine greener & more resilient futures for our cities. Mo also makes things out of waste including bucket hats, lavender eye pillows, mycelium models and plants by propagating food-waste. In addition to these practises, Mo is keen to use her time with Makerversity to explore multi-sensory storytelling for intimate engagement with socio-ecological research.
