THE PEOPLE’S PRINT: BLONDIE STYLE

In January Melaine Bowles and Emma Neuberg from The People’s Print had their fab ‘Blondie Selfie’ workshop, their first Digital Textiles workshop to complement the Somerset House Exhibitions Programme. The workshop started off with participants taking their selfies, uploading them to Photoshop, learning how to apply the Andy Warhol screen-print look that he famously applied to his 1980 photo of Debbie Harry and finishing with a demo of how to print the design on to transfer paper to put into the Makerversity heat press and print on to silky polyester swatches! There is plenty more to come from The People Print at Makerversity in February with the launch of The Festival of Print workshops.
