On Tuesday 21 October, we were delighted to host The Internet of Things, a talk exploring innovative ways of connecting physical products with the digital world.
Kicking off with a video, we watched Dr. John Barrett’s TEDx Talk on The Internet of Things.
We also heard from Arduino guru and Makerversity member John Nussey. John is a creative technologist, teacher of physical computing at the Royal College of Art in London and early adopter of the Arduino prototyping platform.
John discussed past projects and gave us a sneak peek into some of the exciting work he is currently developing.
Last, but by no means least, we were thrilled to welcome our keynote guest speaker – Uros Petrevski. Uros is a leading designer-hacker, co-founder of Nodesign and tutor at ENSCI University in Paris.
Uros presented his latest project – We-IO. We-IO is an interactive device that allows designers and makers to easily connect products with the internet and control them via popular web languages such as HTML and Python.
The evening had a brilliant turnout and the thought-provoking presentations created a real buzz in the room. After such an inspiring talk, we’re already excited for the next one!
