The Restart Project run parties where anyone can come along with a broken electrical item and learn how to fix it. A free community who promote learning to fix over lazy landfill. Their key aim is change our relationship with our devices and secondly to extinguish the throw away culture that so many of us live in nowadays.
They’ll be hosting a talk at Makerversity during LDF on the 23/9. Highlighting the  difference we can make to emissions by simply fixing an item instead of buying another. There will also be an inspiring conversation from one of the creators of Fairfone, a phone that as parts need replacing you can simply do so. The fairness goes further, it is built from ethical minerals sources instead of conflict or questionable, like so many major brands

All of the Makerversity events over LDF can be found here. We have talks, workshops and exhibitions so make sure you don’t miss a chance to get down to Somerset House.
