Makerversity member Jon Fidler along with two friends Alasdair Davies and Stephen Mowat launch their latest project, Naturebytes. A not for profit organisation on a mission to reconnect people with nature through digital making. The first instalment, the DIY wildlife cam kit.
Centered around a raspberry pi, once assembled it can be used to take footage and photos of wildlife. The captured imagery can then be uploaded to the Naturebytes online platform. This community will be at the heart of Naturebytes. Providing users with activities, tutorials and challenges that covers digital making, coding and conservation. Utilising the community will also provide vital data for conservation organisations.
One of Makerversity’s aims are to enhance learning through making, with Naturebytes you can do just that. Wether you’re a digital maker, engineer, teacher, parent or a wildlife fan there are so many reasons to back this product.
Naturebytes Kickstarter is now live.
