The ITCH- IoT City Hack, Amsterdam

By Esther Ellard

Calling Amsterdam’s creatives! Join us for our City Hack on International IoT Day.

We’re really excited to announce out latest makerthon in association with StartupAmsterdam and Sensemakers to coincide with international IoT day on the 9th April. We have a fantastic opportunity to find the best IoT ideas that use Amsterdam city data to create an awe inspiring public work in the city. The finalist’s projects must showcase and cement Amsterdam as Europe’s leading tech and innovation hub for startups.

“We’re looking for ideas that engage tourists and businesses with our city’s startup scene and bring a healthy dose of joy.”

Applications opened yesterday and we’re now on the hunt to find 5 ideas to develop during our 2 day makerthon. Each idea will be awarded €500 to take part and will work with a team of industry expert mentors to protoype their idea. At the end of the makerthon, each idea will present in front of our judging panel. The winner will receive a 6 month membership of Makerversity (worth €1,800), a cash prize of €1,200 and the chance to have their idea realised in the city.

Check out our webpage for more information and details of how to apply. Application closes on the 24th of March and we’ll announce the shortlist on the 27th March.

Our makerthon will take place at Makerversity Amsterdam on the 8th and 9th of April.
