The full job description is available to download below.
We have recently gone through an exciting period of development and transition to move our learning work from reactive to more proactive, as well as the setup of our second location in Amsterdam.
Our mission is to build a world in which everyone is empowered to innovate. We believe that not enough people are given the opportunity to learn the valuable hard and soft skills that come from the practice of design and making. So alongside our spaces, we also run learning activities for people of all ages to inspire the next generation of creative and practical minds and increase the diversity of the creative industries. All Makerversity members (the businesses and professionals that use our coworking spaces) have the opportunity to play an active part in these programmes and are encouraged to pass on their experiences and expertise to others.
Our expertise lies in developing and producing fun and engaging learning experiences. We partner with youth organisations and educational institutions to recruit participants. This enables us to reach out to young people who need it most and to focus on what we do best, making and making things happen. We offer creative workshops to young school children, graduates, corporate companies, governmental organisations and the general public.
We are looking for someone who is able to turn their hand to a wide variety of tasks. You will have an interest in working in a creative environment and the ability to work independently and proactively. You must be self-organised and confident working methodically and accurately. You will enjoy working within a team and be good at working with others to make great things happen!
This is a great opportunity for someone excited about maker education in Amsterdam who is looking for a new challenge. The role straddles the essentials of traditional project management (writing briefs, scoping budgets, communicating with clients etc.) alongside the need to know our member businesses and how / what they work on. Understanding rapid prototyping, playing with material innovations or even testing pilot 21st Century Skills curriculums should excite and engage the candidate. We are interested in people who are focused, curious, enthusiastic and well referenced.
