Please wait at New Wing Reception, Lancaster Place, entrance of Somerset House 5-10min before the event starts, where an event runner will guide you down. Please note that our events start promptly and take place in a card-access-only space.
We’ll start with the basics – brightness, colour temperature, the difference between LED and other technologies and the pros and cons of each. We’ll experiment with different options – spots, strips. washes and panels.
We’ll then look at different types of controls and sensors – basic motion and time switches and new wireless systems,
We’ll end with a brief guide to controls, health and safety and PAT testing.
Shelley James is a glass artist, electrician and lighting designer. She love helping people find their way through the internet jungle to find the most beautiful practical and sustainable sustainable lighting solutions for gallery, home and ‘off-grid projects.
