Nim Gadhia is a design consultant and denim specialist with 20 years experience in the fashion Industry. After nearly 10 years in denim, working for brands such as G-STAR RAW, Denham & Scotch&Soda, he became disillusioned with the damaging effects of the corporate fashion model and left the industry. After a year of reflection Nim returned to fashion, but he now specializes in contemporary upcycling concepts and other sustainable clothing practices.Working out of his Makerversity studio in Somerset House, he divides his time between teaching, freelancing and working on his current project: Out Of Stock Studio – where he takes unwearable/unwanted clothes & deadstock fabrics and transforms them into desirable/wearable pieces.
Please note, the attendee must be able to sew. Experience on a domestic machine is a must to be able to complete the workshop.
On the day of the event guests will be picked from the New Wing reception of Somerset House. This is based on Lancaster Place, following on from Waterloo Bridge. If lost please do call 02037017499
