Future Oasis – Wet Materials

Part of a series of RCA 2021 Graduate Show events examining critical perspectives on technology.

From short circuts to living circuts.

 

At a time when technological developments consume vast resources, can we start working with environment-friendly materials to bring more possibilities to our future? Can we work with lives, plants, animals, non-toxic and biodegradable stuff?

Here we will explore the possibilities of wet materials with natural science researchers and designers. Feel free to ask questions and hypothesise about the future. Experiment with environment -friendly materials and find the infinite possibilities of working with living things around you.

Workshop includes:

– Lecture with Livia Kalossaka

-Observe and prototype

-Presentation and discussion

 

Getting There:

The event is based in Makerversity in the basement of Somerset House. To access, go to the New Wing Reception (on Lancaster Place following on from Waterloo Bridge) and we will collect you just prior to the start time.

Please note that face coverings should be worn at all times in Somerset House.
