Last weekend the Crafts Council launched Make Shift, an initiative in partnership with the Institute of Making, the V&A and the RSA.

The weekend kicked off with a two day conference debating how new materials, open source technology and digital manufacture are opening up the possibilities and shifting the parameters of contemporary craft. Speakers included Zoe LaughlinMark Champkins and Makerversity’s own Lauren Bowker among many other creative leaders.

Over the course of the weekend, workshops all over London opened their doors to showcase the hive of activity going on and to engage the public in an en masse making fest!

Makerversity were proud to host The People’s Print Scandinavian paper cut out’s workshop, where attendants were given the tools to create a large floral print scarf in five easy steps.
