Banner Workshop

Banner Workshop

On Saturday November 18th we hosted a political banner-making workshop with 30 years trade union banner maker Ed Hall, and embroidery hacker Sabina Weiss. In this workshop we asked What does Citizenship mean to you?

The banner has been made for a day of direct action with Citizens UK on December 13th.  Their campaign calls on leaders to drop profits from citizenship fees for children and young people. Currently every time a child or young person has to make an application for leave to remain or even for British citizenship they have to pay huge fees and the Home Office make a  profit from it.

The action will take place outside the Passport office, 89 Eccleston Square, London SW1V 1PN at 11.45am.  Join them this Christmas to secure PASSPORTS NOT PROFITS!
